We are looking for a Parish Clerk to join us - 8 hours per week - Paid Position. CLICK HERE to view advert or download below.

APPOINTMENT OF CLERK AND RESPONSIBLE FINANCIAL OFFICER - PETHAM PARISH COUNCIL

Part time 8 hours per week

If you have a genuine interest in helping our forward thinking and energetic Council develop and deliver timely, quality, and innovative services to the local community, this post is ideal. You will ensure that all legal, statutory, financial and other governing provisions relating to the Council are observed, all Council meetings are properly administered, and decisions effectively implemented whilst developing healthy working relationships with key local and regional bodies. Suitably qualified, and ideally, or within the first 12 months to obtain, the CiLCA – Certificate in Local Council Administration, the individual will also be:

  • Understanding of the Clerk’s role in supporting the Council and serving the residents
  • Highly motivated to make Petham Parish Council as effective as possible
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills
  • Community Focused and engaged, playing an active role in their local community life
  • Able to offer strong and focused leadership and direction
  • Hold exemplary administrative, communication, IT, financial and organisational skills
  • Strong in project management, ensuring community projects are delivered on time and to a high quality
  • Flexible in approach and able to meet deadlines
  • Able to identify opportunities to improve the ways of working for the Parish Council

We offer excellent nationally based terms and conditions of employment for this post which will involve some evenings.
